OUR DANCE SCHOOL

Both Hayley and Michelle joined Hotsteps Dance in it's first year of opening and they feel so privileged to have been on the journey with the school since the beginning. The school has grown so much over the years and we are proud of everything we have achieved so far.

Hotsteps Dance was founded in 1998 by Steph Gunn and we thank her for opening the dance school and giving us the opportunity to be where we are today!

At Hotsteps we grow our own teachers. Every member of our teaching team, started out as a student.

We pride ourselves on teaching with a family feel and with the core of the school being based on a love of dance and having fun. Of course the students learn dance technique and improve their skills with us, but ultimately we aim to spread the joy that dance can bring.

OUR HELPERS

We love working alongside one another but we also couldn't do it without the help from our wonderful dancers. Over the years many of our dancers volunteer to help out with the younger classes and not only does this give us an extra pair of hands, but they are also role models for our younger members.

We strive to be a part of every child's development, improving their technique and performance as dancers, but also developing their self-esteem and confidence and encouraging kindness and the willingness to always help others.

A big shoutout and thank you to our current helpers Bonnie, Eva and Izzy!

OUR DANCERS

Our dancers are aged from 4 right up to 23 (currently!).

They are a very welcoming bunch and continually make us proud!

We are always looking for extra opportunities to give them and we perform annually at Hatfield Peverel's Party in the Park, and for many years performed in First Feat at The Queen's Theatre. We have also performed in a Panto at Thameside Theatre, in Hornchurch's Christmas Light turn on, and in West End Theatres including Her Majesty's Theatre and Shaftesbury Theatre. In addition, we have taken our senior groups abroad to perform at The Benidorm Palace and in Salou.

This year we also performed at Wembley Stadium which was such an unbelievable experience! So much so, that we are doing it again next year!
